H photo shoot #2

I didn't think Hudson would enjoy modeling (given his shyness and the difficulty I have dressing him at home!!), so he only had 2 jobs this "season".

Turns out, I was totally wrong and completely underestimated him.

He actually quite enjoyed it (and dare I say, he is amazing... ;)

He was excited to sit in the tall stool awaiting hair and makeup (just some blush for rosy cheeks)

This time around it was a super simple set - no boxes to stand on and poses to do like the Elle shoot - much better!!

Just stand there and look cute, ok?  You don't even have to smile!!

Outfit changes

Stealing Sienna's baby crackers....

Always so cutie pie in hats!

Have to admit, I wasn't feeling the fashion sense on this one, but who am I to judge....

They had some fun props for him to take pictures with - he loved the glasses and wanted to wear both of them at once!

As always, refuses to smile when I ask...
(see why I thought H + modeling would be disastrous?)

Post-shoot reward - a trip to Costco complete with free sampling!  :)

Big boy is responsible for handing over the card at checkout

Totally passed out after a long day (yes, very swollen-looking face, but it's just a funny camera angle..)

**I can't wait to share the actual pics from the shoots - because the catalogs don't come out for a few months I'm not really supposed to post anything online.....  So stay tuned!**

Sienna Snoopy Shoot

Baby Girl

Baby girl has so many adorable dresses (that I never dress her up in)...  So now I'm making a concerted effort to dress her up every Sunday.

Here we are the other week in the nursery room.

Very challenging to get a good picture of her (esp with the phone...)

Which is why I was excited to have her do some modeling, so that the professionals could do it for me!

Little did I know that my happy smiley baby would turn into an absolute BEAR every time I set her down to take pictures?!?!?!?!?

That's 2 for 2 - totally wrong about my kids!
Sienna had gotten jobs lined up every week all summer but she just hated it....
Gave it a couple tries and now giving it a rest.

Despite her misgivings, they were able to get some really adorable snaps....
(couldn't resist...)
..so it was worth a few tears to me!

Stir Fry Disaster, Baby Gucci, Adventures in Modeling

So for the past couple months that we have been here we have been looking to buy a nice wok so that we can make some proper chinese food.  I don't know anything about woks, so I asked the woman that hosted a cooking class at Parent's Place a few weeks back to help me out.  She basically said I can buy a wok from anywhere and then gave me detailed instructions on how to season it properly before use.  Perfect!

I was thrilled to find what I thought was a fabulous wok at Costco and couldn't wait to prep it and cook!

Devin did the honors of seasoning the wok for us - and yet, I kept hearing this weird popping sound, and every time he would try to wipe oil on it with a towel (cloth and/or paper) - it would catch on fire!!!!  (Um, are you sure the wok isn't too hot...????)

Long story short, in the middle of our chicken stir fry, we noticed that we had managed to burn a HOLE through the middle of the freaking wok and our chicken got coated in metal!!!!!

Great.

Thankful Costco has the same (american) return policy, but our dinner was still ruined and we remain wokless.

::sigh::

After making fun of how ridiculous it is to have a Gucci store for children, my curiosity finally got the better of me while my parents were here and I ventured inside.  I have to admit, the clothes (and accessories, etc) are beyond adorable!!!  I would never actually buy anything, but admit I was tempted..  I even had Sienna "try on" their little bear bracelet.

Such a bad idea - I totally melted!  ($200 isn't bad for a baby bracelet... right?  ;)

Speaking of children's fashion, here are some behind-the-scenes snaps of Hudson's first modeling gig:
 Elle photo shoot

Riding a horse "off stage" during wardrobe change

Lookin' so dapper!!

He loved adjusting all the clothes and making sure they were just right (to him)

This was another company - Why and 1/2 - that wanted to dress H in their wacky clothes and take some pics for their records.  They will have a shoot for their catalog later this fall..

After a long day of modeling, he got a very well deserved treat at the play center at the mall!!
