Building concert

While Devin was away, our building put on a concert in the lobby/entrance area.  Was quite good, but unfortunately my kids haven't developed a love for classical music yet and got bored after a short while..

I didn't understand any of the announcements, obviously..  and was hoping it would be a good chance to meet people in the building.  But it seems the only residents free on a Saturday afternoon are the elderly  - and their parents!  I did get to meet one young couple, though, that live below us.  Even though she was looking forward to practicing her french with me (assumed we were Canadian with our can-babies), hoping my lack-of-french will not impede friendship.

They were really great - and the acoustics in this part of the building was ideal!

We brought snacks to entertain them, but the effect was short-lived.

Anny was not impressed that Hudson was playing with the flower (and smacking her in the process..)

So we tried to lock him up in the stroller..

They provided a great buffet afterwards!  Overall, a big success.  Have heard they put these events on periodically, so looking forward to the next one.  We have meet several interesting people in the elevator - but 30 seconds doesn't give enough chance to really get to know someone.  Hopefully some of the people we have encountered on our elevator trips will be at the next event and we can have a proper conversation.
